28 Mediterranean Knights have been revealed by the Libyan Football Federation to take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in an upcoming qualifier for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
In two crucial matches on Matchdays 3 and 4 of the African Cup of Nations qualification games, the Mediterranean Knights will take on the Super Eagles.
The Nigerian national team will play host to the Libyan national team on Friday, October 11, and the match will return to Libya on October 15.
With one point from its home draw against the Rwandan national team and a defeat by the host Benin national team the Mediterranean Knights are fourth in Group D of the AFCON qualifiers.
After defeating Benin Republic and drawing away from home against Rwanda, Nigeria leads Group D with four points.
Libya faces a difficult assignment as they are now three points behind Nigeria.
The Mediterranean Knights must put out a tremendous effort to have any chance of qualifying starting with the double header against the Super Eagles.
