At the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny, the Nigerian Super Eagles will play the Benin Republic Cheetahs.
Since the Benin Republic lacks a CAF-approved facility, the game is being played in Ivory Coast.
At the 34th Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cote d’Ivoire earlier this year, the Super Eagles dashed the ambitions of Guinea Bissau, Cameroon, and Angola at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny to secure first position in Group D.
Additionally, they lost 2-1 to Benin Republic in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match played there in the summer.
Referees for Nigeria vs Benin
CAF has chosen Senegalese official Issa Sy to officiate Thursday’s match, which starts at 7 p.m. CIV time and 8 p.m. Nigeria time.
Sy was in charge when the Super Eagles defeated Angola 1-0 at the same location in a quarterfinal of the Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Compatriots El Hadji Amadou Sy (fourth official), Nouha Bangoura (assistant 2), and Djibril Camara (assistant 1) will support him.
The commissioner will be Ivorian Rene Williams Sere, while the referee assessor will be Angolan Inacio Manuel Candido.
The Super Eagles simply need to win Thursday’s match to guarantee a spot in the 35th AFCON, which will take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
