Inter Milan came from a two-goal deficit to seal a comeback win over high-flying Cesc Fabregas’s Como on Sunday night.
Como came into the match with the hope of getting into the UEFA Champions League automatic spot with a win.
Inter Milan, after thrashing Roma last week and Napoli’s 1-1 draw at Parma earlier in the day, came in for a win to increase the gap on the Serie A table.
Como drew first blood with two goals in nine minutes before the break. Alex Valle and Nico Pa scored to put Como ahead.
The host couldn’t keep a clean sheet heading into the break as Marcus Thuram gave Inter Milan a lifeline with a sublime goal.
Marcus Thuram restored parity a few minutes into the second half with a fantastic lob over Jean Butez from the edge of the box.
Inter Milan went on a rampage as Denzel Dumfries bagged his own brace on the night to give Inter Milan a 4-2 lead after 72 minutes.
With a few minutes left on the clock, French midfielder, Lucas De Cunha scored from the penalty spot to set up a frenetic end.
However, Inter Milan sealed a 4-3 win away at Como to increase their lead over Napoli to nine points after 32 matches.
