Two La Liga fixtures took center stage on Tuesday, offering drama and significance as the season nears its conclusion.
Barcelona continued their relentless title push with a narrow but vital win over Mallorca, while Valencia and Espanyol played out a closely contested draw that could have implications for the relegation battle and mid-table shuffles.
Barcelona secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory against Mallorca at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, with Dani Olmo scoring the only goal of the match just 45 seconds into the second half.

Despite dominating possession and recording 24 shots, the Catalan giants were repeatedly denied by Mallorca’s inspired goalkeeper Leo Román, who made 11 saves. Mallorca had a goal ruled out for offside late in the first half, but Barcelona ultimately held on to claim all three points.
The result sees Barça move to 76 points, seven clear of Real Madrid, who are set to play Getafe on Wednesday. With a Copa del Rey final looming, coach Hansi Flick rotated his squad, handing Ansu Fati his first start in over six months.
Elsewhere, Valencia and Espanyol shared the spoils in a 1–1 draw at the Mestalla. Javi Puado put the visitors ahead in the 40th minute, but Valencia responded early in the second half through Javi Guerra.
Both sides created opportunities, but neither could find a winner. The result leaves Valencia safely mid-table while Espanyol continue their tense fight to avoid relegation with just a handful of games remaining.
