In Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo outdueled Nigeria's Saviour Godwin as Al Nassr defeated Alakhdoud.

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo returned to action in the Saudi Arabia Professional Football League.

On Thursday, January 9, 2025, Ronaldo was in action as Al Nassr recorded a 3-1 victory against Alakhdoud in a league fixture.

Saviour Godwin and Cristiano Ronaldo battle

In Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo outdueled Nigeria's Saviour Godwin as Al Nassr defeated Alakhdoud.

Against the run of play, Nigerian striker Saviour Godwin scored the first goal of the game with brilliant footwork as early as the sixth minute.

Sadio Mane got the equalizer for Al Nassr in the 29th minute to calm down anxious home fans.

In the 42nd minute, Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up to convert a penalty to put the home side ahead of the break.

Mane got his second of the game in the 88th minute assisted by Al Ghanam.

Nigeria’s Godwin was substituted for Mohammed Naif Saleh Al Jahif in the 90th minute as Al Nassr held on for the win.
