Nigeria’s global music influence continues to grow after four of the country’s biggest stars, Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr and Rema, were selected to feature on the official soundtrack album for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

FIFA unveiled the star-studded lineup on Tuesday through its FIFA Sound platform ahead of the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The football governing body announced the forthcoming release of the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, a project that brings together some of the world’s biggest names in music to celebrate the game’s global appeal.

In a post shared on social media, FIFA encouraged fans to pre-save the album ahead of its official release.

“The squad for the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album is here! Pre-save for the album release on June 5. Stay tuned for more to come,” FIFA wrote.

The 18-track compilation, produced by FIFA Sound in partnership with Universal Music, features artists from across Afrobeats, hip-hop, pop, K-pop, Latin music, dancehall and other genres, reflecting the diversity of the world’s biggest football tournament.

Among the standout collaborations is Rema’s appearance on “Goals” alongside BLACKPINK star Lisa and Brazilian singer Anitta. Davido teams up with electronic music collective Major Lazer and Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado on “No Place Like Home.”

Ayra Starr features alongside American rapper Latto on “Show Me,” while Burna Boy joins Colombian music icon Shakira on “Dai Dai,” a track that has already generated significant anticipation following weeks of promotion.

The inclusion of the four Nigerian artists further underlines Afrobeats’ growing influence on the global stage. Over the past decade, Nigerian music has become one of Africa’s most successful cultural exports, earning international recognition and attracting collaborations with some of the biggest names in world entertainment.

The album also features several globally renowned artists, including Future, Tyla, Daddy Yankee, Shenseea, 21 Savage, French Montana, Stormzy, Ava Max, BIA, Jelly Roll, Carín León, Danny Ocean, Shaggy and internet personality IShowSpeed.

FIFA said the project forms part of its wider entertainment strategy for the 2026 World Cup, which will be the first edition of the tournament to feature 48 teams.

The expanded competition is scheduled to run from June 11 to July 19, 2026, across host cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
