Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team the D’Tigress have been drawn in a tough Group ahead of the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup.
The draw took place on Tuesday, April 21 and the seven-time champions were drawn in Group B of the competition.
The D’Tigress have scores to settle with some of the teams in the group, having lost to them during the FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament last month.
Nigeria will take on France, South Korea and Hungary in Group as they return to the World Cup for the first time since 2018.
The D’Tigress lost to France and South Korea during the qualifying tournament in France and will look to get revenge later in the year.
Nigeria reached the quarter-finals of the 2018 edition where they lost to the USA.
