Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has etched his name in the record books by becoming the first Nigerian footballer to reach 300 appearances in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old hit the significant milestone when he featured for Fulham against Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Saturday.

Iwobi began his Premier League journey with Arsenal in October 2015, where he made 100 league appearances. He then featured 123 times for Everton before joining Fulham, for whom he has now played 77 matches.
Across his career in the English top flight, the Super Eagles playmaker has been directly involved in 69 goals (32 goals and 37 assists).
Iwobi is also just the fifth African player to reach the 300-game landmark, following in the footsteps of legends like Kolo Toure (353), Mohamed Salah (309), Wilfried Zaha (305), and Jordan Ayew (305).
