Brighton & Hove Albion manager Fabian Hürzeler, is among five other Premier League managers who have been nominated for November’s Manager of the Month Award.
The young German manager led The Seagulls to an excellent run as they ended the month of November unbeaten, conceding just one goal. The South Coast team secured wins against Leeds United and Brentford but were held to a stalemate by Crystal Palace. Brighton & Hove Albion rounded off the month with a 2-0 victory at Nottingham Forest.
Chelsea enjoyed one of their best months yet in the Premier League this season under Enzo Maresca. The Italian manager guided The Blues to three wins and a draw, with only one goal conceded. Chelsea followed up with victories over Spurs (1-0), Wolves (3-0), and Burnley (2-0). Enzo Maresca’s men ended the month with a brilliant outing in the 1-1 draw against league leaders Arsenal despite playing most of the second half with ten men.
Marco Silva helped Fulham secure nine points from a possible 12 in November. The Cottagers secured wins over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sunderland, and Tottenham Hotspur. Fulham raced to an early 2-0 lead and held on to secure a 2-1 win, their first ever at Tottenham.
Unai Emery led Aston Villa to a strong finish in November. After starting the month with a 2-0 defeat at Liverpool, Aston Villa bounced back with three wins: a 4-0 demolition of Bournemouth, a comeback win at Leeds, and a hard-fought 1-0 home win against Wolves. Unai Emery’s side finished November in the top four.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City rounded off the month with 10 goals – the most by any team in the division. The Cityzens picked up a commanding 3-0 win over rivals Liverpool, a 3-1 win against Bournemouth, and a stoppage-time 3-2 victory over Leeds United.
Arsenal extended their unbeaten run but dropped points twice towards their title charge. The Gunners kicked off the month with a composed 2-0 win at Burnley and a hard-earned 2-2 draw at Sunderland. A thumping 4-1 North London derby victory over Tottenham was the highlight of the month as the Gunners continued their dominance over their rivals. Despite having a man advantage, Arsenal couldn’t breach Chelsea’s defense at Stamford Bridge as the London Derby ended in a one-all draw.
