Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Vitor Pereira has commended Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare for his increasing adaptation to the squad after the Super Eagles striker scored his second goal since arriving at the club.
Arokodare scored Wolverhampton Wanderers’ first goal in the 4-3 loss to Chelsea at the Molineux in the round of 32 of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
The 24-year-old fired a low drive into the far-right corner a few minutes into the second half to reduce the goals deficit after Chelsea led 3-0 in the first half.
Viktor Pereira, in a post-match reaction, said the striker is connecting more with his teammates and is fitter than before as he continues to adapt to the rigour of English football.
“It’s normal because now he has more training with us,” Pereira said on Wolves official webpage
“His fitness is better now than before, he understands what we need from him, and he is more connected with his teammates, and he is ready to help us.”
Tolu Arokodare joined Wolves from Genk after an impressive outing with the Belgian club, as he finished as the top scorer of the Belgian Jupiler League last season.
Arokodare will be looking to score his first Premier League goal when Wolves travel to West London to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.
