Alex Iwobi continues to make a name for himself in the Premier League.
The Nigerian midfielder recently achieved a new milestone, surpassing Super Eagles legend Nwankwo Kanu’s record for most Premier League appearances for a Nigerian footballer.
Iwobi’s latest outing against West Ham saw him score twice, but unfortunately, his goals weren’t enough to secure a win for Fulham. Despite the 3-2 loss, Iwobi’s 274th Premier League appearance cemented his place in the history books.
With 123 games for Arsenal, 100 for Everton, and 51 for Fulham under his belt, Iwobi has proven himself to be a consistent and talented player.
He now sits just behind Shola Ameobi, who holds the record for most Premier League appearances by a Nigerian player.
Iwobi is just 15 appearances away from claiming the top spot, and if he stays fit, he has every chance of claiming top spot this season.
It has been an excellent campaign for Iwobi, who has now contributed 7 goals and 3 assists to help Fulham stay comfortably in mid-table.
