Highly-rated Rio Ngumoha has caught the attention of Nigerian football fans after being spotted wearing the iconic 1996 Nigeria national football team “Dream Team” jersey.
The young winger, who is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Liverpool FC’s academy, was seen rocking the famous green jersey worn by Nigeria’s Olympic gold medal-winning squad from the 1996 Atlanta Games.
Ngumoha’s appearance in the retro jersey has sparked excitement among supporters, especially because of his Nigerian roots and growing reputation in English football.
The teenager joined Liverpool from Chelsea FC’s academy and is already viewed as one of the standout prospects in the Reds’ youth setup. Known for his pace, close control and confidence in one-on-one situations, the winger has impressed coaches and fans with his performances at youth level.
Despite his young age, Ngumoha has trained with older age players like Salah, Isak and is considered one of the most exciting talents coming through Liverpool’s academy ranks.
