Brazilian superstar Neymar has revealed that his former Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappé became “a little jealous” after Lionel Messi joined the club in August 2021.
Neymar made this claim during a podcast hosted by his compatriot Romário.
When asked if Mbappé, who recently joined Real Madrid, is “annoying,” Neymar responded, “No, he is not. I have my issues with him, we had a little fight, but he was fundamental for us when he arrived. I used to call him ‘Golden Boy.'”
Neymar went on to praise Mbappé’s talent and their partnership at PSG.
“I always played with him, said he would be one of the best. I always helped and talked to him, he came to my place, and we had dinner together. We had some good years of partnership…”
However, Neymar admitted that things changed after Messi’s arrival. “But after Messi came, he was a little jealous. He didn’t want to share me with anyone. And then there were some fights and a behavior change.”
