Ademola Lookman credits his switch from England to Nigeria as a transformative moment in his life and career.
Born in London, the Super Eagles winger represented England at youth international levels before pledging his senior allegiance to Nigeria in 2022.

The former RB Leipzig and Fulham star made history in May 2024, scoring a hat-trick for Atalanta in their Europa League final victory over Bayer Leverkusen, clinching the Italian club’s first European trophy.
In a heartfelt interview with ARISE TV, the 2024 CAF African Footballer of the Year described his bond with Nigeria as “deeply personal” and “life-changing.”
“There’s no doubt about it — choosing Nigeria changed my life,” the 27-year-old said.

“This is my home, this is where I belong. I feel proud every time I wear the green and white. I’m the son of the soil.” Reflecting on his CAF Player of the Year award, Lookman expressed immense pride.
“Honestly, it feels surreal. To be named among the greats who have won this award — players I looked up to growing up — is truly an honor. I carry it with pride,” Lookman said.
