Manchester City’s legendary manager Pep Guardiola, has said no other team is going to break the records set by his team over the years.
Guardiola was keen to highlight his outstanding achievements ahead of Sunday’s trip to league leaders Liverpool.
This has been a turbulent season for the champions, as they crashed out of the UEFA Champions League and Carabao Cup, as well as offering a meek title defence. Their only realistic chance of a trophy is the FA Cup, and their main target is a top-four finish.
Speaking with Neil Warnock on Sky Sports, Guardiola said: “No one is going to win [with] 100 points, and four-in-a-row in the Premier League.
“It’s not going to happen in my lifetime, I’m sorry!”
The highest Liverpool can hit this season is 96 points, which is still an outstanding return, considering the difficulty of the Premier League.
However, we are unlikely to see 100 points for a long time.
