Galatasaray extended their flawless start to the Turkish Süper Lig season with a commanding 3-1 win over Konyaspor at Rams Park on Sunday evening.
The defending champions quickly imposed themselves on the game, breaking the deadlock in the 23rd minute through Yunus Akgün, whose sharp finish put the hosts ahead. Just before the interval, Mauro Icardi doubled the advantage, capitalising on sustained pressure to send Galatasaray into the break two goals up.

Lucas Torreira added a third in the 64th minute, capping a dominant performance from Okan Buruk’s side and effectively sealing the contest. Konyaspor managed a consolation in the final stages, with Umut Nayir finding the net, but it was too little too late to spark a turnaround.
The result means Galatasaray have now won all six of their opening league fixtures, underlining their title credentials and keeping them top of the Süper Lig table. Konyaspor, meanwhile, remain stuck in mid-table after another inconsistent display.
