NSC inaugurates LOC for Abuja 2027 African Youth Games

The National Sports Commission has formally established the Local Organizing Committee for the Games in an effort to host a successful second edition of the African Youth Games, known as Abuja 2027.

With the explicit goal of hosting the greatest youth games ever held on the continent, Mallam Shehu Dikko, the chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), officially launched the 28-member committee.

The chairman reassured the rest of Africa and ANOCA of the federal government’s commitment to organize an international-grade game and guaranteed the LOC of the commission’s full support to fulfill the assigned task.

He said, “I congratulate all the LOC members on their appointments, knowing full well that you all have been entrusted with a serious national assignment.

“Your work will require planning, coordination, transparency and teamwork for the desired success to be achieved”.

“I want to assure all our African partners and stakeholders that Abuja 2027 will be safe, well organised and memorable for all our young athletes”.
