Paul Onuachu was the hero as Trabzonspor survived a late scare to beat Fatih Karagümrük 4–3 in a dramatic Süper Lig clash at the Vefa Stadium on Saturday.
Trabzonspor went ahead in the 19th minute through Felipe Augusto, only for Tiago Çukur to level for the hosts nine minutes later.
Onuachu restored the lead with a composed finish in the 35th minute and doubled his tally from the penalty spot just before the interval, giving the visitors a 3–1 cushion at half-time.
The Nigerian striker looked set to be the match-winner, but the game burst into life again late on. Danylo Sikan’s header in the 88th minute put Trabzonspor 4–1 up, yet Karagümrük refused to fold.
Substitute David Datro Fofana scored twice in stoppage time to set up a frantic finale, but the visitors held firm to take all three points.

Onuachu’s brace takes his league tally to five goals in seven games this season, underlining his growing importance to Abdullah Avcı’s side.
The victory lifts Trabzonspor into second place with 14 points, keeping them within touching distance of the league leaders.
