Galatasaray have received a huge boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool with the return of Victor Osimhen to training.
The Super Eagles striker has missed Galatasaray’s last two fixtures due to the injury he sustained while on international duty two weeks ago.
Osimhen sustained an injury to his shin in a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda and was substituted in the first half of the match.
Former Ghanian striker Asamoah Gyan reportedly accused Osimhen of faking the injury as he missed the one-all draw away at South Africa.
Osimhen was reportedly heartbroken by Gyan’s comments while recovering from the injury ahead of a line of fixtures for the Turkish champions.
The 27-year-old striker will be in contention to play against Liverpool at the Rams Park next week on matchday 2 of the Champions League league.
Galatasaray will look to rely on Osimhen to get the club a win over the six-time European champions after suffering a 5-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt on matchday 1.
