Super Falcons forward Flourish Sabastine has completed her move to Portuguese champions Benfica, signing a contract that runs until 2029.
The deal includes an option to extend by a further year, keeping the 21-year-old at the club until the end of the 2029-30 season.
Sabastine, the former Falconets forward arrives on a free transfer after helping Fenerbahçe win the Turkish Women’s Super League title last season.
Flourish Sebastine began her senior career with Bayelsa Queens, winning three domestic titles, before spells with Stade de Reims, Galatasaray, and Fenerbahçe.
Before completing the move, she consulted former Benfica midfielder Christy Ucheibe, whose advice played a key role in convincing her to accept the challenge.
The switch reunites Sabastine with fellow Nigerian Janet Akekoromowei, who joined Benfica last month from Nasarawa Amazons.
Known for her pace and clinical finishing, Sabastine made her Super Falcons debut against Japan in October 2022 and has represented Nigeria at two FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups.
