Amusan delivered another impressive performance to clinch gold, handing Nigeria its first gold medal of the championships while further extending her remarkable record at continental competitions.
The world-class hurdler showed her experience and speed from the start, comfortably finishing ahead of the field to continue her strong run in African athletics.
Fellow Nigerian athlete Adaobi Tabugbo also impressed in the race, getting off to a brilliant start before holding her position to secure the bronze medal after a fierce contest for the podium places.
