Nigeria secured both gold and bronze medals in the women’s 100m hurdles event at the African Championships in Ghana, with Tobi Amusan storming to victory in dominant fashion.

Amusan delivered another impressive performance to clinch gold, handing Nigeria its first gold medal of the championships while further extending her remarkable record at continental competitions.

The world-class hurdler showed her experience and speed from the start, comfortably finishing ahead of the field to continue her strong run in African athletics.

Fellow Nigerian athlete Adaobi Tabugbo also impressed in the race, getting off to a brilliant start before holding her position to secure the bronze medal after a fierce contest for the podium places.

The double podium finish provided a major boost for Team Nigeria at the championships and highlighted the country’s continued dominance in women’s sprint hurdles on the African stage.
