Xabi Alonso’s future at Real Madrid looks bleak following Real Madrid’s defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League league pjhse on Wednesday

The defeat means Real Madrid have won just two of their last eight matches in all competitions, with three losses and three drawn matches.
According to reports, Real Madrid’s hierarchy are considering firing Xabi Alonso, and a defeat against Manchester City could make the board pull the trigger.
However, a couple of players in the squad, including Jude Bellingham, have publicly shown support for Alonso as his future at the Bernabeu looks uncertain.
Brazilian winger Rodrygo also backed the former Bayer Leverkusen manager after the loss to City.

Real Madrid are without seven of their first-team players and will be without Fran Garcia and Alvaro Carreras, who are suspended for the game against Getafe this weekend.
