Brighton secured a convincing 3-1 win over Manchester United, thanks to goals from Yankuba Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma, and Georginio Rutter.
The Seagulls took an early lead when Minteh scored from Mitoma’s cross in the fifth minute.
United equalized through Bruno Fernandes’ penalty after Joshua Zirkzee was fouled by Carlos Baleba.
However, Brighton regained the lead in the 60th minute when Mitoma turned in Minteh’s cross, to silence the Old Trafford crowd.
The visitors sealed the win in the 76th minute when André Onana’s goalkeeping error allowed Rutter to score into an empty net. The defeat leaves United 13th in the league, while Brighton are now 9th, edging closer to European qualification.
