Kenan Yildiz starred, scoring twice and contributing to another goal, as Juventus defeated Wydad Casablanca 4-1 at the Club World Cup.
The Turkish forward was unfortunate not to claim Juve’s early opener, recorded as an own goal by Abdelmounaim Boutouil.

However, Yildiz left no doubt with the second, unleashing a stunning strike from outside the box. Thembinkosi Lorch pulled one back for Wydad before halftime, but the 22-year-old netted his second in the 69th minute, and a late Dusan Vlahovic penalty sealed the victory for the Italian side.
Following their 5-0 thrashing of Al Ain in the opener, Juventus have now scored nine goals, securing the maximum six points in Group G after two matches.
Their qualification for the knockout phase is nearly guaranteed if Manchester City avoid defeat against Al Ain later today. This puts Igor Tudor’s Juventus in a strong position heading into their final group match against City in Orlando on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Moroccan giants Wydad face elimination after this loss, compounded by their earlier 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.
