Cristiano Ronaldo has officially become football’s first billionaire, reaching an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion after signing a groundbreaking contract extension with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

The new deal, reportedly worth over $400 million, includes tax-free wages, substantial bonuses, and even a 15 percent ownership stake in the club — making it one of the most lucrative agreements in sports history.

Before moving to Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo had already earned around $550 million in wages during his glittering European career with Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.

Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first billionaire football player, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, thanks to a huge Saudi deal in the twilight of his career.

His off-field empire, however, has been just as influential in building his fortune. Through long-standing sponsorship deals with major global brands and his CR7 business ventures in fashion, fragrances, gyms, and hotels, Ronaldo has created a powerful global brand that extends far beyond football.

Now 40, the Portuguese superstar has become not just one of the greatest players in history but also one of the sport’s most successful entrepreneurs.

His achievement cements his legacy as both a footballing and commercial icon, symbolizing the modern era’s immense financial rewards for the world’s most marketable athletes.
