Nigeria’s Falconets booked their spot in the next round of the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after sweeping aside Rwanda 4–0 in Ibadan, sealing a 5–0 aggregate win.
The hosts started brightly, pushing Rwanda deep into their half and creating chances with fluid attacking play. Their persistence paid off midway through the first half with the opening goal, and a second followed before the break to put them firmly in control.
The Falconets returned from the interval with the same intensity, adding two more goals to wrap up a commanding victory. Rwanda struggled to cope with the pace and movement of the Nigerians, who defended solidly while remaining sharp in attack.
With the aggregate scoreline comfortably in their favour, the Falconets advanced with confidence, underlining their status as one of Africa’s most consistent teams at youth level. The performance was a strong statement of intent as they continue their quest for a place at the World Cup finals.
