Manchester United’s goalkeeper situation is heating up, with reports suggesting Andre Onana’s time as the undisputed No. 1 may be coming to an end.

The Red Devils are said to be scanning Serie A for a replacement, and their latest target is 22-year-old Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
Suzuki, a Ghanaian-born Japanese international, has been making waves in Italy with his impressive performances for Parma. After joining the club from VV Sint-Truiden last summer for €7.5 million plus bonuses, Suzuki has quickly become a key player between the sticks.

According to reports, Manchester United’s scouting network has been closely monitoring Serie A, and Suzuki is now their top target. The club had previously considered Milan’s Mike Maignan, but Suzuki’s more affordable price tag makes him an attractive option.
With a reported €40 million release clause that becomes active at the end of the season, Suzuki presents a relatively low-risk, high-upside move for United. This is especially true compared to the €55 million they paid for Onana just two years ago.
Onana’s time at Old Trafford has been turbulent, with a string of errors and struggles for clean sheets leaving fans and officials frustrated.
