Thomas Partey might be on his way out of Arsenal this summer, with negotiations over a new contract at a standstill, according to reports.
The 32-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, whose current deal expires at the end of June, is not expected to extend his stay with Mikel Arteta’s side.
Reports say discussions over a potential renewal have completely stalled, meaning Partey will leave the club as a free agent on June 30.
A couple of teams in Turkey are reportedly interested in the midfielder, with Barcelona also linked with a move for him.
Since joining Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020, Partey has been a pivotal figure in Arteta’s midfield, helping the Gunners emerge as Premier League title contenders on two occasions.
He has made over 160 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals.
With no breakthrough in contract talks, Thomas Partey’s four-year spell at the Emirates appears to be coming to an end.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are close to sealing the deal for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi as the Gunners are set to pay over €60 million for the 26-year-old Spanish midfielder.
