The English Premier League have shortlisted eight players for the November edition of the Player of the Month Award.
The award is for the most outstanding player in the league during the just-concluded month.
Brentford’s Igor Jesus is the favorite to win after a brilliant performance throughout the month of November with five goals in four matches.
The Brazilian striker scored twice in the 3-1 win over Newcastle and a goal away at Brighton & Hove Albion. He rounded off the month with another brace in the 3-1 win over Burnley.
Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes didn’t score a goal in the month of November, but the Portuguese midfielder was involved in four goals. Fernandes provided the assist to Casemiro’s goal in the two-one draw away at Nottingham Forest.
He also provided the assist to Matthijs De Ligt’s late equalizer away at Tottenham Hotspur before wrapping up the month with a brace of assists in the win at Crystal Palace.
Newcastle’s Harvey Barnes was also impressive in November, powering the Toon Army to a win over Manchester City at St James’ Park. Barnes scored in the 3-1 loss at Brentford and bagged a brace in the 2-1 win against City.
Morgan Gibbs-White has enjoyed a run of good form under new manager Sean Dyche. The English midfielder scored in three consecutive games: a 2-2 draw against Manchester United, the 3-1 win over Leeds United, and the famous 3-0 victory at Anfield.
Other nominees for the awards are Chelsea’s Reece James, Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku, and Everton’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
