Tottenham Hotspur secured a 2-0 victory over Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium, ending their four-game Premier League losing streak.

The match began with both teams displaying cautious play, resulting in limited goal-scoring opportunities. The deadlock was broken in the 29th minute when Tottenham’s captain, Son Heung-min, delivered a corner that led to an own goal by Brentford’s Vitaly Janelt.

Brentford intensified their efforts in the second half, applying significant pressure on Tottenham’s defense. Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, the Bees were unable to find an equalizer, with Spurs’ defense holding firm.

In the 87th minute, Pape Matar Sarr capitalized on a counter-attack, securing the win for Tottenham with a composed finish.

This victory elevates Tottenham to 14th place in the Premier League standings with 27 points, providing a much-needed boost as they aim to distance themselves from relegation concerns. Brentford, having lost four of their last five home league games, remain in 11th place with 31 points.
