Rayan Ravelosson, captain of the Madagascan national team says he and his teamamtes are not scared of the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier later this week.
The 29-year-old-old midfielder belives that both teams consist of humans and the match will be played on the pitch. Hence, his team being scared.
Raveloson shared his thoughts with journalists at the airport as Madagascar arrived Uyo on Monday evening ahead of the tie.
‘It’s football, they (Nigeria) are humans like us guys, so we are not scared why should we be?”
Rayan Raveloson came on as a second half substitute in 2019 when the Barea beat the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations group stage match.
Nigeria have won their last two international matches on home soil and will look to start the qualification series on a positive note on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The win marked Madagascar’s first-ever win over Nigeria after losibg the two previous encounters with scoring.
