Super Falcons of Nigeria star Asisat Oshoala is back in the goals in the American NWSL.

Oshoala was on target for Bay FC as they played out a 1-1 draw away against North Carolina Courage in an NWSL fixture early on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Tess Boade’s ball was finished with a single touch by Asisat Oshoala to give Bay FC her fifth goal of the season in the ninth minute.

Ashley Sanchez scored her fifth goal of the season in the 28th minute to even the score.

There would be no goals in the second half as Bay FC held on to snatch a draw.

Thanks to the draw, North Carolina has not lost In a club-high 19 straight home games since the beginning of the previous season.

For the first time this season, Bay FC has not lost in three straight games.

Oshoala is now enjoying a scoring run after scoring against Racing Louisville the previous week.

With six games remaining in the regular season, the Courage are still in fifth place in the rankings.

Ahead of the playoffs, Oshoala and Bay FC are ranked seventh in the standings.

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, when Bay FC plays Orlando Pride, Oshoala will make her return to the pitch.
