Reports from the camp of Nigeria’s Super Eagles indicate that players and staff of the team are observing a strike over unpaid bonuses.
BBC Africa journalist, Oluwashina Okeleji reports that the team will not train or travel to Marrakech on Thursday until the bonuses are paid.
The Super Eagles and its coaching staff are being owed win bonuses from their matches against Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda and the second round win over Mozambique.
Officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) reportedly made promises to the players and coaching staff ahead of the tournament.
Nigeria are due to travel to Marrakech on Thursday ahead of their quarter-final clash against Algeria.
