Victor Osimhen has finally joined the rest of his teammates on the eve of the Super Eagles’ departure to FES in Morocco ahead of the start of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Galatasaray forward was the 28th player to arrive at the team’s temporary camp in Cairo, where the team had trained since Sunday.
Osimhen arrived on Wednesday night, having missed three training sessions as the team geared up for the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.
While in Egypt, the Super Eagles played and lost a friendly match against the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday at the Cairo International Stadium.
The loss is Eric Chelle’s first since he assumed as head coach position of the Super Eagles in January, but also provided him with an evaluation of the team ahead of the tournament.
The team and officials of the Super Eagles are scheduled to depart Cairo for Fes at noon and will observe a training session at 6 p.m.
Nigeria head to the tournament to win a fourth continental title and will start the quest on December 21 against Tanzania.
