Head coach of Tanzania, Miguel Gamondi says he and his coaching staff have already developed to stop Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen when both countries meet on Tuesday.
Miguel Gamondi, the 59-year-old Argentine coach made this known while speaking to the media at the Fes Sporting Complex on Monday afternoon ahead of the Group C fixture.
He said his team has a technical plan to neutralize Osimhen but admits the Galatasaray striker is not the only threat the Super Eagles have.
He alluded to the fact that the three-time African Champions have players like Samuel Chukwueze and Ademola Lookman capable of doing damage to the Taifa Stars.

“We have a for sure tactical plan to try to neutralize Victor Osimhen, but it’s not only him you have a player like Chukwueze, like Lookman like if one is neutralizing the other is attacking”
The Super Eagles will take on the Taifa Stars for the first time since 2016 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier where Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal gave Nigeria a 1-0 win on home soil.
Nigeria boasts of a healthy record having won three of its last five meetings against Tanzania.
Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen is on course to equal or probably break the late Rashidi Yekini’s record of 37 goals. Osimhen currently has 31 and will look to at least tie Yekini’s age-long record.
