Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche has provided updates on the recovery progress of Super Eagles duo Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi.

While speaking to the media ahead of Nottingham Forest’s visit to Everton this weekend in the Premier League, Sean Dyche revealed that Awoniyi is already training, but Ola Aina needs a bit of time to reach full fitness.

“Taiwo is on the grass and doing well, Douglas Luiz is close to getting back to training with us, Angus Gunn a bit delayed on that, but getting better, Ola Aina still a bit of time yet.”

Awoniyi has been on the sidelines for the past few games due to a muscular injury, but the striker is expected to be back in the squad soon, according to Sean Dyche.

However, Ola Aina, who is recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered during the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa in September, might not play for Forest until the new year.

Ola Aina and Taiwo are in Eric Chelle’s preliminary squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, scheduled for December 21-January 18.
